I like CCleaner it's a nice easy to use tool for the novice but I have noticed that it leaves a lot of stuff untouched I go through manually as well to make sure that things like temp files and cookies are removed and i just see far to much leftover stuff after using CCleaner run another reg cleaner after using CCleaner and it will almost always find more reg entries.

Just curious if anyone else has noticed this all I hear are rave reviews of CCleaner and as I said it's pretty good for the novice but for the more thorough IT type it's just not enough. Very Happy

CCleaner is primarily a temporary file cleaner and its registry cleaner is very conservative.
It has more applications that can be cleaned if you install winapp2.ini available from the CCleaner forum:

Its User Guide is quite good:

I like RegSeeker and its companion NTREGOPT to tune up the registry.

CCleaner does not do enough deep cleaning I mean I use it but alongside Wise I like CC for quick simple clean up for clients
